The V-shaped filament is what keeps our lawn products looking so good, even in high-traffic applications. Imagine taking a piece of paper and trying to get it to stand up between two books that are lying flat. Eventually, that paper is going to fall down and look limp. Now imagine taking that same piece of paper and folding it into a V shape. That paper stands up on its own, without support. Our V-shaped fibres work in the same way. They stand up straight, spring back to life, and continue to look great even in high-traffic areas of your home.
The Gold Coast is one of the most challenging and demanding climates in Australia, which means our lawn products need to withstand high UV levels. Happily, our entire range of synthetic lawn products is designed with built-in UV protection and stabilisation. UV-blocking agents are blended directly into the fibres to provide long-lasting resistance to sun damage. Think of it as sunscreen, which is built directly into our artificial grass products, providing an invisible layer of protection.
Our Cool Summer Lawn range is designed with advanced heat-reflective technology in every fibre. That means the cooling effect is built in and permanent in your artificial turf. No need to water down your synthetic lawn to keep it cool. The cooling element reduces heat buildup and makes it ideal for use in high-traffic areas with children and pets.
DTEX, or decitex, is the measure of yarn density and fibre strength. That tells you how thick and durable each strand of turf is. A higher DTEX rating means your lawn will continue to perform and last longer than products with a low DTEX rating. All of our lawns are designed to deliver the highest possible DTEX-to-cost ratio for superior underfoot feel, wear and tear resistance, and better bounce-back for years to come.
Before we can install your new artificial lawn, we need to excavate approximately 80mm below the surface to remove all existing grass, roots, and debris. This essential first step ensures that your lawn continues to remain flat and is not distorted by any underground roots or debris. Our professional lawn installers on the Gold Coast use professional excavation equipment to remove this top layer and prepare the site.
We dig further and deeper than our competitors, which means that our lawns continue to remain flat and free of unsightly bumps and imperfections.
A 60mm crusher base is laid, smoothed, and levelled. We then wet and compact the base with a vibrating plate compactor. Once we’ve prepared your base, the levels are checked and compacted multiple times to ensure a perfectly even surface before we lay the turf. This is a critical step, as it ensures your base continues to remain level and guarantees stability while preventing sinking, shifting, and ripping of the turf.
Once the surface is prepared, our team will roll the turf into position, ensuring that all blades face the same direction for a natural, seamless look. Once the rolls are in position, joins are then bonded using a 30mm wide fibreglass joining tape as well as glue and adhesive to create a near-invisible seam. Once this is done, we then roll it to lock the seams tight, which ensures proper alignment and prevents any variation in shades or patchy colour.
The edges of your synthetic lawn are trimmed with a sharp utility blade to ensure a snug, custom fit around any garden beds, pavers, or curves in your backyard. We secure your lawn edges with 150mm galvanised nails, which provide extra reinforcement in high-traffic areas as well as in any commercial settings. This step ensures we eliminate any potential lifting, shifting, and trip hazards.
Once everything is in place and secure, our team will roll your new synthetic lawn and add approximately six kilograms of kiln-dried silica sand per square metre. The sand is brushed across the surface which the blades stay upright whilst also improving drainage. This is a critical final step and ensures that your lawn stays plush, remains upright, and provides a realistic look.
Once your lawn is installed, we’ll conduct a final inspection and handover with you so that you can start enjoying your new low-maintenance lawn. Before leaving, we’ll provide you with a satisfaction sheet to ensure you’re completely happy with the job, which then activates your 10-year product warranty.
